Lectures/Seminars/Tutorials:

Classes are conducted by barristers with experience in teaching. Extra classes are offered as and when necessary. Tutorials/seminars are also held for a review of the toimage completed.
The academy takes a pragmatic attitude towards teaching and is always willing to improve the standard. Throughout the academic year, students will have to do at least three mock examinations on the basis of syllabus covered.

Student Counseling:

The Student Counselor appointed by the Academy offers programs that assist the development of coping and problem-solving strategies of the students as well as programs designed to address the needs of students in a tertiary environment. This counseling will also be helpful to find suitable employment on graduation. Practical knowledge and training will be provided in job search skills including aspects of self-assessment, job search procedures, resume preparations and interviewing skills.

Guest Lectures:

Occasionally guest lecturers, qualified in their field, will speak on the current to images to provide students with further insight in contentious areas of law. We also appreciate that Newcastle students should have basic knowledge of Bangladeshi legal system. Hence some of these lectures will deal with the legal system in Bangladesh.

Parents' Participation:

Being one of the most progressive institutions in Bangladesh Newcastle Law Academy ensures that the
parents are well aware of their children's educational progress and behavioral pattern. Direct participation in formulating
policies of the Academy is also one of the aims of parent's Participation Program of NCLA. Regular meetings are being held among the parents and the administrative staff
of the Academy to exchange views and ideas helpful to maintain strict discipline within the Academy and to ensure best possible educational support.

Library:

Newcastle Law Academy has one of the most comprehensive and resourceful law libraries in Bangladesh. The Library is under the supervision of a qualified librarian. It contains copies of almost all the major text and casebooks by the leading writers about 1000 in number. The Academy is in touch with the publishers like Sweet & Maxwell, Butterworths, Hammicks and Blackwell's bookshops and all the latest editions are always available in library.

Computer:

The Academy has excellent computer facilities in the library with round-the-clock internet facility for students to conduct legal research.
This is in recognition of the truth that studying in the coming years will evolve around computers and CD ROMs rather than books. Students must use the computer units with due care and caution and shall avoid mishandling and damages of any kind. The Student Counselor will extend all kinds of assistance to the students in the Computer Laboratory so that they acquire a solid understanding and knowledge to use the computer units in a befitting manner.

Photocopying :

Two photocopying machine with competent personnel are available in the ground floor. The rate is reasonable and service is prompt.

Canteen: Cafeteria & Food

There is a cafeteria in the Academy where students can have light refreshments including soft drinks, coffee, crackers and crisps at a reasonable price. The cafeteria also offers a variety of meal preferences including Indian and local cuisine that are served by friendly canteen staff.

Extra Curriculum Activities:

|
Sports including cricket, football, badminton etc are extensively practiced by our students in and around the Academy premises. NCLA also takes part in different tournaments held among similar institutions. Newcastle organizes annual imagenic and study trips during the winter. Recently the students accompanied by-teachers, visited Cox's Bazar, Teknaf and St. Martin's Islands. Annual "Summer Bash" is the most exciting event in the city organized by the Academy each year As a general practice the occasion is attended by the honorable Justices of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and foreign guests. All the events are performed exclusively by-Newcastle students and have gained enormous popularity for high quality.
Newcastle has a number of students who are prizewinners in debate competitions. Students are also encouraged to participate in blood donation program and to organize charity concerts as part of their social activities.
